Have you heard of O’ Brien’s Irish Sandwich and Coffee before? I have heard about it before…in fact, my wife is a huge fan of this sandwich outlet, and every now and then, she will frequent the outlet to get her sandwich fix. Anyway, Foodpanda has brought us bloggers to try out the sandwiches in O Brien’s…
O’Briens has been in Malaysia since 2002 and has grown from strength to strength, beginning with the first outlet in Great Eastern Mall and growing to the current 11 outlets in the Klang Valley, inclusive of Damansara Heights UOA II, Menara OCBC, Menara Weld Shopping Centre, The Curve, 1 Utama Shopping Centre, Suria KLCC, Menara Prudential, Sunway Pyramid, Kuala Lumpur International Airport, Midvalley Megamall and Subang Empire Shopping Gallery.
Sandwiches, in my opinion is a great wholesome meal to take when you’re busy, or have no time to sit down and really eat complicated meals. Learn if sandwich places like subway halal.
In O Brien’s, sandwiches and toasts are made upon orders. This is to retain the freshness of the sandwiches. Apart from that, I noted that coffees are also freshly brewed over here.
Take a look at these… these are the ingredients for the sandwiches fillings.
Plenty of vegetables and cheese to go with the sandwiches too…
Choices of fillings…
We bloggers spotted something…a surprise…while waiting for our sandwiches to be prepared…
It’s none other than Foodpanda himself! What a surprise! I’ve been to plenty of Foodpanda events before, but this is the first time I met the Panda in person.
I had hot chocolate topped with marshmallows as my drink. It was really great, warmed up my chilled up bones that rainy day.
Blogger friends were served with these…O’Briens Chicken Tripledecker (RM18.80). Toostie with Chicken & Chicken Crisp, Lettuce, cheddar cheese, Red onion, Coleslaw & Tomato. This is an absolute favourite. Everyone seems to love this signature sandwich. Crispy, and completely filling.
Chicken Slice & Cheddar Cheese on Shambo (RM15.80). Toostie with Fresh Tomato, Red Onion, Lettuce & Honey Mustard Mayonnaise. Highly recommend this to those who loves cheese in their food.
Sundried Tomato on Hot Ciabatta (RM15.80). Toostie with Sundried Tomato, Red Onion, Fresh Tomato, Mozzarella cheese, Roasted vegetables & Basil Pesto. * Add Chicken for RM3.50. I never tried this one before, but this sandwich reminds me of some kind of a Mediterranean bread. Duzzin really tickleme fancy, but those who loves Italian/Mediterranean bread will adore this.
And then we were served with soup of the day- mushroom soup served with a slice of garlic bread. I don’t usually like western soup, but I love this one from O Brien’s.
Wanna go and have some sandwich? Well, O Brien’s is having a Ramadhan promotion right at the moment. They have this special Curry Chicken Mayo Sandwich with cashew nut & grapes + Ice lemon tea for RM16 per set. Quite a good deal, I must say. If you want to opt for ala-carte, it is RM13.50.
This sandwich taste a bit different. Not exactly something I will choose on my regular day, but I assure you that it is healthier choice for breaking fast as it’s packed with energy. You might want to give it a try.
