Usually my wife and I avoid traveling or holiday-ing during school holidays as we pretty much hate the crowd, the traffic and the peak hotel room charges, but last weekend, on 28th May 2017, we made an exception as we knew that exciting things are going on in Resorts World Genting; the annual Genting International Children’s Festival
I believe I’ve shared the information on the Genting International Children’s Festival HERE. You might wanna read up about it, but if you’re too wary to check it out, it’s fine, I’ll just share with you all the exciting things we did last week.
Upon arrival at SkyAvenue, Resorts World Genting, a carnival-like atmosphere were abuzz and we were entertained by a live band performance.
These live band performed two songs at each of their designated light stop in SkyAvenue.

Live band performing “Can’t Take My Eyes Off You”. The live band was pretty cool, and we went abit crazy and followed the band around in SkyAvenue to enjoy their performance at each of their stops.
If you think following a liveband around to enjoy their performance is crazy, wait til I tell you what happened when we spotted anime cosplayers coming out to performance entertain the kids.
My wife is a huge fan of anime, especially Sailormoon and Dragonball. Yes. Resorts World Genting happened to have some of the characters from Sailormoon and Dragonball during our visit and she completely went insane about it and was so determined to catch all her favourite anime characters and take a picture with them. Here’s sharing some pictures taken:
The characters from Dragonball; Son Goku and Freeza.
Luffy from One Piece
A character from St. Seiya
Naruto from Naruto Shippuden
Alphonse Elric from Fullmetal Alchemist
Belle, Beast and Snow White from Disney
Needless to say, after much stalking, my wife got what she wanted. Here’s a picture of my wife, Ellie with her all time favourite character, Sailormoon. She said this was her childhood dream come true-to take a picture with Sailormoon. Well…this is just a cosplayer playing Sailormoon, but well, close enough.
My son with Piccolo, one of the main character in Dragonball series.
But of course, my wife and I are about the same age. I’m just 2 years her senior and growing up during the same time and era as her, I’m a huge fan of Sailormoon and Dragonball too. Despite being an adult, we both still share the same interest and guess what? Dragonball series is still ongoing and we both still chase the series and watch it together every Sunday. So yea…I went abit nuts too and joined both my son and my wife’s insanity and took some pictures with those anime’s characters. Why not, right? We were there to have fun. And this is fun.
Anyway, this is just a part of the happenings in Resorts World Genting during the Genting International Children’s Festival.
