Do you like Taiwanese street snacks? Well, good news, now you can enjoy some very authentic Taiwanese street snacks right here in Malaysia, prepared just the way it is done back in Taiwan. I’ve recently dropped by Shihlin Taiwan Street Snacks outlet in OneUtama for late lunch/afternoon tea and discovered first hand why people ended up raving after they had a dose of some of their awesome Taiwanese snacks. My family and I managed to sample some of their bestseller; Handmade Oyster Mee Suah, Happy Rice Box, XXL Crispy Fried Chicken, Crispy Floss Egg Crepe and Fried Mushrooms.

I’m a big fan of everything osyter, so I happily slurped this Handmade Oyster Mee Suah, so I enjoyed this dish very much. The broth was thick and flavourful. It definitely makes a satisfying meal for the hungry and for those who are on the go. It’s packed with energy. The mee sua came in thick broth, some fresh oysters and shredded chicken meat with sambal on the side for extra kick.

Shared this Happy Rice Box Set with my wife. Ordinary and nice, but nothing to actually shout about. It does make a wholesome meal for office workers who are rushing during lunch hours, though.

Everyone’s favourite that day. XXL Crispy Fried Chicken. Deep fried in a special batter, this dish is sensational and was bursting with flavours. It’s priced at only Rm6.50, a must try if you patronize Shihlin Taiwan Street Snacks outlet.

Crispy Floss Egg Crepe. My wife and I dubbed this as Taiwan roti canai. There’s chicken floss bedded in the crepe rolls. Plum sauce was drizzled all over the egg crepe for extra kick. My wife didn’t really like. She’s not quite a fan of sweet stuff, but personally, I think this one is okay. Not too bad if taken piping hot. My son loves this too.
