I am a big fan of uptown sushi and sashimi and so when I discovered that Sushi Zanmai has opened it’s door in SkyAvenue, Resorts World Genting during my most recent visit there, I knew I had to go and check it out.

Monaka. Monaka are actually a type of traditional Japanese dessert that consist of an outer crispy wafer with a sweet filling inside such as red bean paste, mochi, ice cream or chestnut. Ours has vanilla ice cream sandwiched in between of two wafer.

Pro foodie tips: Don’t be surprised if a staff came to you and happily tells you to continue to enjoy your your noodles if you accidentally slurp them up a tad too loudly. Some people might find this habit unappealing, but it is all right if you accidentally slurp the ramen a bit too loudly at Sushi Zanmai. That’s how the Japanese actually eat their noodles and it is a food language for “I’m really enjoying this and please compliment the chef”.

The service at Sushi Zanmai is as great as the food. Highly recommended to all Japanese food lovers.
