There is much much more to achieving a lasting marriage / building wealth than just getting married on 080808 or 090909. Despite the big hoohaa, there was something positive observed on those who got married on 090909 too. The temptation to get married on that date has made them ignored / put aside the customary belief/taboo of one should not get married during the Chinese 7th month which is the Hungry Ghosts Festival. It's a positive sign that those people are getting more open minded rather than getting stuck to old customs :). Just hope that they'll stay open minded that way. Have a great day.
