Looking for a healthy, Muslim friendly seafood restaurant? Here’s recommending one. Located in Bandar Puteri  Puchong, this Pork-Free restaurant offers seafood cooked in a healthier way; steamed.

Kungfu Steam Seafood is not your usual steamboat or hotpot restaurant. New to the Malaysian shores, Kungfu Steam Seafood is all about enjoying the freshest seafood items steamed at your table, using minimal ingredients to retain the natural flavours of the seafood served. Steaming process takes merely 3-5 minutes each time.

Seafood are mostly freshly fished out from here.Kungfu Steam Seafood offers a main dining area on ground level with air conditioning. There are also four private dining rooms on the first floor. The restaurant is also children friendly as there’s a playroom provided at the ground level for young children to keep themselves occupied while the adults are dining.

Before the steaming starts, you will be asked to choose from a choice  soup or  porridge. Your choice will then be placed into a pot beneath the steamer so that when all the ingredients are being steamed above, all the natural juices and flavours will drip below and flavour your choice of soup or porridge. Interesting, no?

I had the opportunity to dine over here with my family and friends and here’s some of the things we had the other day:

Signature Flower Crab Porridge, Clams, Scallops with Garlic and Glass Noodles and Live Tiger Prawns

Mixed Mushroom, Mixed Vegetables, Enoki Chicken Rolls, and Red Snapper

Clams (RM4.80/100gm).

These clams are simply steamed with sliced ginger and goji berries.

Live Tiger Prawns (RM12.80/100gm).

Topped with salad, these prawns are
Juicy, sweet and tender.

Scallops with Garlic and Glass Noodles (RM19.80/2pcs).

The scallops are simply garnished with chopped garlic and goji berries with goass noodles beneath. Quite a satisfying dish on it’s own.

Red Snapper (RM9.80/100gm).

The Red Snapper was fished out from the aquarium outside prior to steaming, and we steamed with minimal flavours. The outcome was a naturally sweet fish. It was rather bland on it’s own though there’s hints of sweetness from the fish itself. Adding a soy dipping sauce to this would enhance the flavour, definitely.

Enoki Chicken Rolls (RM16.80).

These are simply yummy. Children will definitely like them.

Mixed Mushrooms (RM19.80-BIG).

I gave this a thumbs up. Simple as it is, the dish is still as flavourful as the rest.

Mixed Vegetables (RM19.80-BIG).

Veggies is a must in every meal, and here’s ours. No flavourings or additional MSGs were added to this. And similar to the fish, I prefer this to be eaten with dippinh sauce.

Signature Flower Crab Porridge  (RM33.80-BIG).

This was the finale to our meal. The porridge was creamy and thick. The natural flavours of seafood were well infused into the porridge. A wonderful closure to our meal.

Overall, the dining experience in Kungfu Steam Seafood, Puchong is really pleasant and I highly recommend it to both who wants to dine here for business or pleasure.
