MOSC2011 Video Streaming Report

Required Things For Doing The Streaming:
Minimum Required Tools:
1. 1 desktop at each talk track.
2. 1 2 mega pixel or above webcam.
3. Stable Internet access with 512kbps upload speed.
4. Cables for fetch audio feeds from the PA system.

Recommended Tools, If Possible:
1. 1 desktop with dual core processor, and 1GB RAM at each talk track.
2. at least a 2 mega pixel or above webcam or if possible, a video camera such as JVC or any type of professional video recording camera that have out put ports to the desktop.
3. Stable Internet access with 1Mbps upload speed or above.
4. Cables for fetch audio feeds from the PA system, or cables for connect to the professional video recording camera, if such kind of camera is used in the talk track.

Streaming Operator:
1 operator for each video stream at a time.
If possible, 2 person for operating each video stream would be the best.

Additional Nice To Have Tools:
Since there are 2 talk tracks and 1 exhibition hall in the MOSC2011, it is best to have communication between the video streaming operators. Therefore, it will be nice for the operators to have walkie-talkie radio. But well, since the streaming computer will have Internet access, using IM such as Google Talk will be good enough.
