I’m not sure how many of you realize this. At the right bottom of this website, there is a Creative Commons logo and a link to Creative Commons website. That logo is actually the license I used for protecting my rights on the contents I’ve published in this blog.
Before this, I was using Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivs 2.5 Malaysia License.
Now I had changed to Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivs 3.0 Unported.
The reason why I changed the license is because the previous ones, only covers Malaysia. People from other countries can still ignore my rights on my own contents in this website.
Now, the current ones, is protecting my rights, internationally.
I had chosen the Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivs 2.5 Malaysia License previously because I was intended to write my articles for local people to read only. But now, since I found that I have a lot of oversea traffics, so it is best if I change to Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivs 3.0 Unported in order to be able to protect my own contents from getting stolen.
Yeah, you might say that I am writing craps, no one is gonna steal it, so what for copyright it?
But then again, there are thieves who like to steal everything, even if it is just a piece of crap.
Especially our beloved Malaysians! Even trash can or rubbish also they want to steal! I’ve caught several of them before!!!
Besides Creative Commons, I had also placed a DMCA Website Content Protection badge.
Usually, people are using DMCA to protect their copyrighted stuffs online, and DMCA provide a service where they will manage the contents take down on your behalf, with some fees.
I don’t think I need this service anyway, but hey, since placing the badge is free and I am able to copyright my stuff, so why not?
Perhaps you might thinking why the fuck am I putting so many copyright protection to my blog.
